I got a bug to work on a ghost story and so I've begun on one but I wanted to see what my readers thought of it. I'm not really looking for grammatical or spelling editing as I have family and friends that do that when I'm done. Instead, I'm looking for what your reactions are to the characters, the situations, if you feel everyone's believable, if you want to know more, etc., etc. However, I'm only asking this for the first chapter. I've learned better than to um, release an entire story on the internet. Anyways, my story is told from the perspective of 17 year old Jenna, who is uprooted from her home by her mother along with her younger brother, after her mom catches her father in an embarrassing affair. They move to a picturesque neighborhood but Jenna quickly learns that they're not alone in their new home. Between doors opening and shutting, her belongings moving, and seeing things that are impossible, she realizes that whatever is in her new house has focused on her.
